DBYD’s Tracey Barnes Receives Recognition Award From MCPA

March 9, 2010

DBYD congratulates Paralegal Tracey Barnes, RP, Pa.C.P., who was recognized at a recent gathering of the Montgomery County Paralegal Association (MCPA) for her "countless contributions to the development and growth of the MCPA and the paralegal profession." MCPA President, Debbie Long (also a DBYD paralegal), presented the award to Tracey after enumerating her many contributions to the association over the past ten years, including her number of years serving on the Board of Directors.

Tracey has served the Association as Chairperson of the Membership Committee for the past ten years and also currently serves as the MCPA's Secondary Delegate to the Keystone Alliance of Paralegal Associations (KAPA) and as Newsletter Editor. She also served on the 5th Anniversary and 10th Anniversary Gala Committees and assisted the 2009 Board of Directors in selecting potential candidates to run for the 2010 Board of Directors.

"The MCPA celebrated its 10th Anniversary in October 2009," stated Long. "When a milestone like that comes up, you get to see who the movers and shakers are within the Association, the people who really make it all happen. But even among the movers and shakers, there are those extra special individuals who put their heart and soul into what they believe in, and they come to embody the heart and soul of the Association. Tracey Barnes definitely falls into that category."

DBYD wishes continued success to Tracey Barnes and the MCPA.
