Five days after President Trump's administration revoked guidance to public schools allowing transgender students to use bathrooms of their choice, a federal judge has ordered a school district in suburban Pittsburgh to stop enforcing a similar rule adopted there in September. The rule in question directed that students use facilities corresponding to their biological sex or unisex facilities. The ruling halting the application of this rule permits three transgender students in the Pine-Richland School District to use the bathrooms that match their gender identity as their federal case against their school district proceeds in court.
